Vote for a Splash Pad!

Attention all residents of Eastern Charlotte – The Town of St. George has submitted a splash pad idea for the Aviva Community fund (Aviva Insurance Group). We have an opportunity to win $100,000 for our community to build a splash pad. We need this for all Eastern Charlotte residents! So we are asking you to share and vote as often as you can. Tell everyone you know (and even those you don’t!) about our incredible idea and encourage them to vote from September 25, 2018 to October 4, 2018.We will have some major competition, but we can make this happen!!

Notice: Portage Street Water Shut Down – Sept 26

There is a planned shutdown of the existing water main on Portage Street scheduled on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 at 8:30am. The water system will be shut down from between the hours of 8:30am and 6:00pm. Please note that you will be without water during that time. Please take an opportunity to draw water for your daily needs prior to the shutdown time of 8:30am. Water heaters should be turned off during the shutdown to prevent damage to heating elements.

Starting Wednesday, September 26th, a boil water order will be in place for affected residents. When water is restored, all water to be used for cooking, drinking, or any consumption must be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute. This boil water order will last until two clean samples are obtained by the Department of Health. Updated: The Boil Order has been lifted (03 October 2018, 10:10am)

The water renewal project has progressed and the connection of the new water main to the existing water main needs to take place.

There is a planned shutdown of the existing water main on Clinch Street scheduled for Monday, September 17th, 2018. The water system will be shut down from 8:30am to approximately 6:00pm.
