On behalf of myself and Council I extend a warm welcome!
St. George is a small Town balanced with a mix of rural amenities and scenery that make it a desirable place to both visit and reside. St. George has approximately 1500 people and is nestled around the estuary of our peaceful Magaguadavic River. Whether you live here or are just visiting I encourage you to take the time to wander our scenic trails or stroll our quiet streets, and visit the shops with displays of wares by local artisans. Enjoy the river in a canoe or kayak, stop for a photograph or sketch a picture of the famous gorge and falls. It won’t take you long to discover that we value being authentic and true to our roots, with a relaxed and enjoyable community. And we are very proud and thankful for all it has to offer.
I would like to express my gratitude to all of those who labor every day to achieve the quality of life which comes with living in the wonderful Town – St. George. We are very fortunate to have the world class Aquaculture business that has offered growth and many career opportunities to the residents of St. George and the surrounding areas.
St. George is well-grounded in tradition and history, and our newly elected council is open to opportunities that come our way that will help make us the chosen destination of visitors, businesses and future residents. We look forward to enriching our town and extending an open invitation for others to call St. George home. I invite you all to take the time to come out and get to know us and we all look forward to getting to know you.
Here’s to the next four years!!
